APPLICATION

450/750V XLPE insulated LSZH sheathed

multicore cable to BS7211 is designed

for fixed wiring and low voltage

building installations.

It is suitable for commercial buildings,

public facilities, hospitals, airports,

schools, data centres and transport systems.

The cable is used where low smoke

zero halogen performance is required

to reduce smoke emission and corrosive gas

release in the event of fire.

The XLPE insulation provides reliable

electrical performance and thermal stability.

The LSZH outer sheath provides low smoke

and halogen free performance for safer

indoor installation environments.

This cable is commonly used for lighting,

power, control and general fixed wiring

circuits in buildings.

As an unarmoured cable, it should be

installed where mechanical protection

is provided by conduit, trunking,

cable tray or other protected wiring systems.

The cable should be selected according to

voltage rating, number of cores,

conductor size, installation method,

fire performance requirement

and project specification.

public facilities, hospitals, airports,

schools, data centres and transport systems.

What is the voltage rating of this cable?

This page is for 450/750V

XLPE insulated LSZH sheathed multicore

cable to BS7211.

Is this cable LSZH?

Yes. This cable uses an LSZH / LSOH

outer sheath to reduce smoke emission

and corrosive gas release in the event of fire.

Is this cable armoured?

No. This is an unarmoured fixed wiring cable.

Where mechanical protection is required,

it should be installed in conduit,

trunking, cable tray or other protected routes.

Is BS7211 the same as BS6724?

No. BS7211 is generally used for

unarmoured LSZH building wiring cables.

BS6724 is normally used for LSZH

armoured power cables.

Can this cable be used outdoors?

It is mainly selected for indoor

and protected fixed wiring installations.

Outdoor use should be confirmed

according to project specification

and installation conditions.
